The beginning of the new year was marred by two violent incidents on American soil, which have turned out to be acts of terrorism.
A tragic truck attack occurred on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, resulting in at least 15 deaths and 35 injuries.
At the same time, a Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas injured seven and killed the suspect.
Both vehicles involved in these attacks were rented using the Turo platform, raising questions about the security measures in place for such rentals.
In New Orleans, the attack involved a driver who rammed into a crowd with a white pickup truck and then began shooting at bystanders, showing the attackers’ blatant disregard for human life.
Two brave New Orleans police officers were injured during the attack but managed to engage the suspect in a shootout.
President Trump supported victims and law enforcement while condemning these heinous acts, emphasizing his stance on the importance of a strong security framework to protect Americans.
“When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true,” Trump said, cited by The Gateway Pundit.
Trump took the opportunity to criticize President Biden’s open-border policies and the current government’s priorities.
