(TheRedAlertNews.com) – With the world of social media turned upside down yesterday with Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, all eyes turned to former President Donald Trump to see his reaction following the announcement.
After all, Trump was thrown off Twitter after his presidency, and many people expect that Musk will invite Trump to rejoin Twitter once he has complete control.
But Trump wasted no time and announced that he will not return to Twitter.
According to the New York Post:
“Former President Donald Trump said on Monday that he won’t return to his former favorite social media site if new owner Elon Musk lifts Twitter’s controversial permanent ban against him.
“Trump told Fox News that he planned to instead use his own fledgling Truth Social app, which launched in February, because his platform is ‘much better’ than Twitter.
“‘I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on Truth,’ Trump said.
“‘I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth.’”
Still, despite Trump’s announcement that he will not return to Twitter, several political analysts said off the record that they believe Trump will eventually return to Twitter because of the national and international reach of Twitter.
Also, they believe that Musk will do everything in his power to convince Trump to return as it would be mutually beneficial for both Trump and Musk to have Trump back on one of the most popular social media platforms.
