In bad news for the left, a new poll has established that President Donald Trump is more trusted than Democrat lawmakers on vital issues, as 69% of respondents have declared the Democrat Party “out of touch” compared to 64% for the GOP.

According to the same survey, Trump’s first 100 days in office during his second presidency have marked him with the lowest approval rating of any U.S. president in the last 80 years.
Despite significant public disapproval on various policy issues, Trump manages to maintain a degree of trust over Democrats when it comes to handling key national matters.
Donald Trump holds a 39% approval rating. This result comes from an April poll by ABC News, The Washington Post, and Ipsos involving nearly 2,500 adults with a balanced political representation.
Despite a six-point drop since February, Trump remains notably more trusted than his Democrat counterparts on key issues.
His economic policies have stirred unease, with only 39% approving of his financial handling and 31% approving of the recent stock market’s unpredictability.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average faces potential headaches, which some blame on Trump’s aggressive trade policies as it could see its worst April in nearly a century.
Furthermore, a Gallup poll reports 53% of Americans sensing a downturn in their personal financial health, the highest since 2001.
Trump’s approval ratings reveal a significant drop among women, with only 36% approving, and an even lower 28% among Hispanic Americans.
Still, despite pressing issues, 94% of Trump voters from November affirm their decision, with a mere 6% expressing regrets about their vote.
This hints at Trump’s enduring support base, which views him as a candid leader unwilling to bow to woke pressures and lofty Democratic ideals.
While Trump’s foreign policy actions, such as considerations of purchasing Greenland and the idea of renaming the Gulf of Mexico, have added to the criticism, an alarming 69% of respondents allege the Democrat Party is “out of touch.”
Comparatively, only 64% say the same of Republicans, indicating a slight advantage for Trump in public trust even amid tumultuous approval numbers.
Trump’s hardline trade stance, marked by tariff talks, has also negatively affected market stability, causing worry among those with investments in retirement plans.
These factors have contributed to his strikingly low approval figures.
However, for those who might argue that results matter—or more accurately, that performance matters—Trump’s tireless supporters stand convinced that he still provides a better alternative to leftist agendas threatening the Constitution and American life as we know it.
This ABC News survey and others reflect a tumultuous start for Trump, but as history teaches us, many presidents endure bumps in their first days.
