(TheRedAlertNews.com) – If one of the worst things one man can call another man is “coward,” for all intents and purposes, yesterday, during an internationally broadcast speech to law enforcement professionals, President Joe Biden called former President Donald Trump a coward for not taking action to stop the January 6th, 2021, violent attack on the United States Capitol that left scores of police officers injured.
And, to be sure as many people saw his comments as possible, Biden then tweeted a short video clip of his words along with a link to the full-length YouTube video of the speech containing his remarks about Trump.
The tweet (you can see the tweet and video clip further down this post) included the following statement:
“Brave women and men in uniform across America should never forget that the defeated former president of the United States watched January 6th happen and didn’t have the spine to act.”
The video clip shows Biden while speaking to the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), stating:
“Then, on January 6th, we relied on law enforcement to save our democracy. We saw what happened. The Capitol Police – the D.C. Metropolitan Police, and other law enforcement agencies were attacked and assaulted before our very eyes. Speared. Sprayed. Stomped on. Brutalized. Lives were lost. And for three hours, the defeated former president of the United States watched it all happen as he sat in the comfort of the private dining room next to the Oval Office. While he was doing that, brave law enforcement officers were subject to the medieval hell for three hours. Dripping in blood. Surrounded by carnage. Face to face with a crazed mob that believed the lies of the defeated president. The police were heroes that day. Donald Trump lacked the courage to act. The brave women and men in blue all across this nation should never forget that. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-cop. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-American. There can be no greater responsibility than to do all we can to ensure the safety of our families, our children, our community, our nation, and our law enforcement officers. I will always meet that duty just as you do every single day as members of a critically important organization.”
