(TheRedAlertNews.com) – HAPPENING NOW: In a terrifying new manifestation of the violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, some 300 people or more have perished when an explosion hit a hospital in the Gaza Strip – with Israel stating that the Islamic Jihad terrorist group, a smaller sister organization of Hamas, caused the blast.
The Christian Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip experienced a devastating explosion on Tuesday, resulting in a significant loss of life, as reported by the Gaza Health Ministry and various news outlets.

The new outbreak of violence between Israelis and Palestinians occurred after, on October 7, thousands of Palestinian terrorists from Hamas invaded Southern Israel and slaughtered over 1,400 people, including almost 30 Americans.
Estimates of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital casualties vary, with one civil defense official suggesting around 300 deaths, while The Independent reported at least 500 fatalities.
The Gaza Health Ministry, under Hamas’s control, attributes the explosion to an Israeli airstrike, The Daily Caller reports.
However, an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman has refuted these allegations.
Reacting first on X and later at a press conference, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated that based on the IDF’s analysis, an enemy rocket barrage aimed at Israel passed near the hospital and caused the explosion.
He added that intelligence information from multiple sources indicated that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) organization was responsible for the failed rocket launch that struck the hospital.
In response to this tragic incident, President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority has declared three days of mourning for the victims, as reported by Wafa.
The explosion occurred concurrently with a significant barrage of rockets reportedly launched from the Gaza Strip.
This has raised the possibility that a missile fired by Hamas or another faction within Gaza may have fallen short and struck the hospital, according to The Jerusalem Post.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was not an IDF bomb that caused the explosion but rather a “failed Hamas rocket launch,” as Israeli news outlet i24 News reports.
The tragic event coincided with President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel, during which he said the US ally didn’t cause the explosion.
“We’re deeply saddened by the explosion in the hospital in Gaza yesterday, and based on what I’ve seen, it appears that it was done by the other team, not you,” Biden said, speaking alongside Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu.
