(TheRedAlertNews.com) – A 14-year-old boy was killed, and three other people were wounded when a gang of thugs used makeshift machine guns to fire at a crowd in Chicago.
The violent incident was caught on video, showing four armed men walking through an empty lot, jumping around a building’s corner, and firing down the street.

The security camera footage obtained by CWB Chicago shows that seconds later, the gang runs back in the direction it came from.
According to the report, one of the four attackers is believed to be 16 years old. The lethal shooting occurred around 8:20 pm last Wednesday on South Wells Avenue.
The gang’s gunfire killed Pierre Johnson, 14. The three other victims, who suffered gunshot wounds, haven’t been identified publicly.
Among them was an 18-year-old male who got shot in the back, a 19-year-old male wounded in the chest and leg, and a 21-year-old woman shot in the hand.
The report quotes the Chicago police as revealing that the 16-year-old suspect began firing at officers when they arrived at the scene.
The minor was arrested and charged with “six counts of attempted first-degree murder of peace officers, three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm toward an occupied vehicle and unlawful use of a weapon by a person under 21.”
According to the police, the makeshift machine guns used by the criminals had “Glock switches,” illegal devices attached to firearms to make them capable of fully automated fire and holding bigger magazines with up to 50 rounds.
The Chicago PD have not revealed a motive for the street shooting, The New York Post reports.
Law enforcement data shows 887 shootings in Chicago between January 1 and May 28, 2023. That is a 6% drop compared with the 937 shootings in the same period last year.
During the same period, the city also saw 229 homicides, a decline compared with the 243 murders during the same period in 2022.
Yet, compared with four years ago, the number of murders has spiked by 25% and the number of shootings – by 23%.
