(TheRedAlertNews.com) – HAPPENING NOW: A massive explosion at a food processing plant in the United States has resulted in multiple casualties.

The explosion occurred at a food processing plant in Illi, leaving several employees injured.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. last evening at the ADM complex in Decatur, a city of approximately 70,000 residents, according to a company statement.
Photographs reveal substantial damage to the East Plant of the complex following the explosion.
As city firefighting personnel tried to control the subsequent blaze, thick smoke emanated from the location.
The company confirmed that a number of their employees were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
However, details about the exact count of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries were yet to be disclosed.
Residents informed WAND that the explosion’s impact was powerful enough to jolt houses in the vicinity.
While the plant underwent evacuation procedures, the Decatur Fire Department mentioned that there was no requirement to evacuate any nearby residences.
Several organizations are overseeing the situation and will provide updated details as the investigation progresses.
Rep. Nikki Budzinski (R-IL) expressed her concern, stating, “My team and I are in touch with local officials as we closely monitor the situation at ADM this evening,” on X, previously known as Twitter. This incident marks the third time a fire has broken out at ADM this year.
Remarkably, less than three months ago, firefighters tackled a challenging blaze at this very facility. Two firefighters who responded to that emergency were hospitalized due to injuries but were subsequently discharged in a stable condition.
Furthermore, a different explosion in April at ADM’s west plant led to injuries for three workers.
