(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In what would be a most surprising development in the 2024 presidential race — one that could impact the outcome of the election — independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly dropping an electoral bomb by mulling quitting the race and endorsing GOP nominee Donald Trump.

RFK is contemplating withdrawing from the race and possibly endorsing former President Donald Trump, as disclosed by Kennedy’s vice presidential candidate, Nicole Shanahan, National Review reports.
During a recent appearance on the “Impact Theory” podcast, Shanahan revealed that their campaign is deliberating over whether to cease operations or aim to secure over 5 percent of the popular vote to solidify their status as a credible third-party contender.
However, Shanahan expressed concerns about becoming a “spoiler candidate” that could inadvertently aid Trump by siphoning off votes.
“There’s two options that we’re looking at and one is staying in, forming that new party, but we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Walz presidency because we draw votes from Trump, or we draw somehow more votes from Trump,” Shanahan conveyed to host Tom Bilyeu.
“Or we walk away right now and join forces with … Donald Trump and you know, we walk away from that and explain to our base why we’re making this decision,” she continued, acknowledging the difficulty of their decision.
In her critique, Shanahan accused the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of deliberately obstructing their campaign’s progress.
She charged that Clear Choice, a DNC-aligned Political Action Committee responsible for a lawsuit that led to Kennedy’s disqualification from the New York general election ballot, has unfairly labeled them as spoilers.
“We wanted to win. We wanted a fair shot. The DNC made that impossible for us. They have banned us, shadow-banned us, kept us off stages, manipulated polls, used law-fare against us, sued us in every possible state — they’ve even planted insiders into our campaign to disrupt it and to create actual legal issues for us,” Shanahan lamented.
“We’re still learning new ways that they have sabotaged us,” she added.
Shanahan pointedly attributed the manipulations and unfair treatment exclusively to the Democrats, exonerating the Republicans from any wrongdoing.
The DNC, in a retort to Shanahan’s allegations, dismissed her claims in a statement.
“From the beginning of this race, we’ve said that RFK Jr. is nothing more than a spoiler for Donald Trump, and we’re glad that his running mate is finally admitting it,” stated DNC communications adviser Lis Smith.
Recent five-way national polls, including candidates Harris, Trump, Kennedy, and third-party figures Jill Stein and Cornel West, show Kennedy garnering an average support of 4.5 percent, according to RealClearPolitics.
Harris currently leads Trump with 46.4 percent to 44.9 percent. In a direct matchup, Harris maintains a lead over Trump, averaging 48.2 percent to 46.7 percent.
