(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Exposing Joe Biden’s inadequate policies on backing vital US ally Israel, Republican Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) has declared that the president has implemented what he terms a “de facto arms embargo” against the Jewish State.

Cotton thus escalated his previous criticism of President Biden during an interview on CBS News on Sunday.
This assertion by the senator was made in light of Biden’s indication that the US might halt military aid to Israel if it undertakes a full-scale ground assault against the Palestinian Arab Islamist terrorist group Hamas in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
Cotton has also advocated for President Biden’s impeachment over this potential threat to Israel.
In a recent town hall on CNN, President Biden articulated his stance, stating, “I made it clear” that a major Israeli ground operation in Rafah would result in the U.S. withholding the provision of weapons and artillery shells.
Subsequently, Secretary of State Antony Blinken appeared on “Face the Nation,” suggesting that the President’s comments were specifically referring to the cessation of heavy bomb shipments to Israel, not a broader weapons embargo.
However, Cotton dismissed Blinken’s clarifications, emphasizing the contradiction in maintaining a restrictive stance on arms to Israel while simultaneously allowing arms embargoes on Iran to lapse.
“What Tony Blinken says on this show cannot be credited when Joe Biden is out there imposing a de facto arms embargo on Israel at the same time he’s letting arms embargoes on Iran expire,” Cotton declared.
During the interview, anchor Margaret Brennan highlighted the recent approval by Biden of a substantial foreign aid package, providing $26 billion in emergency assistance to Israel, and refuted the notion of an existing weapons embargo or a cessation in intelligence-sharing with Israel.
In response, Cotton sharply critiqued Biden’s approach, suggesting that it inadvertently supports a Hamas victory, given that Israel views Rafah as a critical Hamas stronghold.
“Israel’s goal is to destroy Hamas, which committed the worst atrocity against Jews since World War II. Hamas’s goal is to survive. If they do—if Israel does not go into Rafah and destroy Hamas in Rafah, Hamas will survive,” the senator explained.
Adding to the political repercussions, Cotton urged the House of Representatives last Thursday to initiate impeachment proceedings against Biden following the President’s foreign aid conditions set forth the preceding night.
Echoing this sentiment, Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) confirmed on Fox News his preparation of articles of impeachment against Biden, stating, “The House has no choice but to impeach President ‘Quid pro-Joe’ Biden.”
