(TheRedAlertNews.com) – While most Americans were already asleep, and just moments after he was elected Speaker of the United States House of Representatives on the 15th round of voting, Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, pledged to cut the funding previously allocated for 87,000 new IRS agents.

As part of his acceptance speech, McCarthy stated:
“We pledge to cut the regulatory burden, lower energy costs for families, and create good-paying jobs for workers by unleashing reliable, abundant American-made energy. I know the night is late. But when we come back, our very first bill will repeal the funding for 87,000 new IRS agents. You see, we believe government should be to help you. Not go after you.” [emphasis added]
