Second, there was a Derecho – a widespread, long-lived, straight-line wind storm associated with a fast-moving group of severe thunderstorms.

The third and fourth were destructive wildfires.

Fifth is a massive heatwave.

And finally, the megadrought out west has depleted critical reservoirs and is threatening the water supply for millions of Americans and thousands of farmers and ranchers.

Total water storage have fallen to 28% for the first time ever. It was 29% last week.
