VIDEO: You’ll Never Guess Who’s Joined The Fox News Boycott

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Brett Favre, the former quarterback of the Green Bay Packers and a National Football League legend, slammed the ouster of top-rated journalist Tucker Carlson from Fox News and has called for a boycott of the conservative TV network.

You can watch a video of Favre at the bottom of this post.

Favre’s boycott call over Carlson’s firing came in a tweet over a week after, at the end of last month, the host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” was let go without any explanation to the public.

Carlson was axed days after Fox Corporation agreed to pay a massive settlement of almost $800 million to Dominion Voting Systems in a defamation lawsuit.

Dominion had sued Fox over allegations that the 2020 election was manipulated through its tech and software, and Carlson had been among the network’s hosts making such claims.

“Time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak,” former NFL star Brett Favre wrote on Twitter.

“I’m with Tucker,” added the legendary quarterback, as cited by Newsmax.

His tweet included a video montage showing Megyn Kelly, a former Fox News anchor and currently a Sirius XM host, condemning Tucker Carlson’s ouster, followed by brief excerpts from “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

In her comments in the video, Kelly suggested that Fox wanted to silence Carlson, which is why the two sides couldn’t agree on a deal.

“He needs to be silenced while Fox tries to rebuild that disappearing audience,” she declared.

Megyn Kelly was at Fox News from 2004 until 2017. Carlson’s show, the highest-rated Fox News program in recent years, began in 2016.

In her comments, she hypothesized that Fox hoped any viewers lost due to Carlson’s axing would return to the network to watch the 2024 Republican presidential primary debates in August.

Another development that could boost Fox’s audience again would be a potential announcement by Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis that he would run for president.

The video shared by NFL legend Brett Favre also featured several powerful statements the former host made on his program “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“Show Tucker you stand with him. Stand with Tucker. Boycott Fox News!” declared a written banner at the end of the video.

In the meantime, a report by left-leaning news outlet Axios claimed that Tucker Carlson was planning to “torch” his former network to free himself from the existing contract that prevents him from becoming part of other media organizations.

The report also reveals other possibilities – Carlson could launch his own TV network or back a new media enterprise sponsored by Tesla and Twitter owner, billionaire Elon Musk.

According to Axios, Musk, and Carlson have already discussed such a possibility.
