In one of the most brazen and disgusting crimes that we’ve ever seen at The Red Alert News, a man in New York City attempted to rape a 25-year-old woman on a subway platform as she awaited her train.
As described in published accounts of this horrific crime, “Police said the man attempted to rape her in broad daylight, and only stopped when a crowd of bystanders confronted him. The witnesses, however, did not directly intervene; one man was seen in a video of the incident just staring in the direction of the suspect and victim.”
Fortunately, the suspect has been apprehended.
According to Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison, “Jose Reyes, 31, of the Bronx was arrested Sunday afternoon on charges of attempted rape, assault, and harassment.”
Chief Harrison gave credit to a member of the public. “This heinous and horrendous act was interrupted by a good Samaritan who observed and got him to cease his behavior while subsequently videotaping the incident.”
