Whispers About Biden Growing Louder

Joe Biden

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – The whispers about President Joe Biden among Democrats in the halls of the United States Capitol are growing louder by the day.

Just as Democrats in coffee shops across America are openly discussing their belief that Biden is not mentally fit to run for president again in 2024, so to are Democrat members of Congress expressing their concerns about trying to hold the White House with a man who is increasingly showing signs of his advanced age.

As the Washington Times notes in, “House Democrats privately say they don’t want Biden to run in 2024“:

House Democrats agree with their party’s voters who say President Biden should consider stepping aside and allow another nominee to run in 2024.

“Mr. Biden, 79, has been fending off speculation about his reelection prospects since his polling and the economy have spiraled downward. Many Democrats say he is too old and unable to competently message and deliver wins for his party.

“‘The stress of the office and running at 82. I don’t think that’s realistic,’ a veteran Democratic lawmaker said.” [emphasis added]

That anonymous member of Congress is not alone in expressing that sentiment.

“One Democratic source wondered aloud, ‘The question is, does he even have command?’ The source said Democrats have found themselves in a conundrum of ‘paralysis by analysis.’

“‘But how would it look if the Democrats did this after one term? It’s never been done successfully,’ the source said.” [emphasis added]

And therein lies the rub. Biden has already said he intends to run again, even though he’ll be in his 80s.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the White House is ‘not worried about polls.’

“‘The president has said — has been clear that he intends to run.'” [emphasis added]

And so the whispers about Biden in the halls of Congress will grow louder and louder.
