First Lady Melania Trump forcefully shot down viral rumors about President Donald Trump and their son Barron as nothing but fake news.
Specifically, the rumors stem from false reports claiming that the president’s battle with Harvard is due to the elitist university rejecting Barron.
The first lady’s spokesperson issued a clear statement shutting down the rumors spreading like wildfire on liberal social media.
“Barron did not apply to Harvard, and any assertion that he, or that anyone on his behalf, applied is completely false,” spokesperson Nicholas Clemens said.
The statement came in response to baseless claims circulating online that suggested President Trump’s ongoing dispute with Harvard was motivated by personal vengeance over a supposed rejection of his youngest son.
18-year-old Barron is currently attending New York University’s prestigious Stern School of Business, where he is expected to graduate in 2028.
“I don’t think it’s possible for him to be a normal student. His experience at college, it’s very different than any other kid,” First Lady Melania expressed.
Unlike the fabricated Harvard rejection story, Barron’s actual college choice reveals his interest in business to follow in his father’s entrepreneurial footsteps.
The false narrative gained traction as liberals desperately sought to explain President Trump’s confrontation with Harvard.
The real dispute centers on serious concerns about national security, including the university’s failure to provide information about foreign students and its tolerance of antisemitism on campus.
In a social media post addressing the actual reasons behind the dispute, President Trump stated:
“We are still waiting for the Foreign Student Lists from Harvard so that we can determine, after a ridiculous expenditure of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, how many radicalized lunatics, troublemakers all, should not be let back into our Country.”
The Trump administration has taken strong action against Harvard’s defiance, including freezing $2.65 billion in federal grants and attempting to block international students who might pose security threats.
Harvard responded by suing the White House, claiming First Amendment violations after the administration sought to eliminate the F-1 student visa exchange program. It argued that foreign nationals had exploited it.
The Department of Homeland Security informed Harvard it lost the privilege of enrolling foreign students after the university was accused of creating an unsafe environment and promoting pro-Hamas sympathies following the October 7 attacks on Israel.
While a judge temporarily blocked this measure, President Trump expressed confidence that the government would ultimately prevail.
Some liberal social media users went as far as claiming the Harvard dispute stemmed from racial jealousy because former President Barack Obama’s daughter Malia attended Harvard.
One user posted, “It’s as simple as this. Barron was rejected by Harvard. Malia got in! MAGA hates that! It makes their racist blood boil!”
President Trump has labeled Harvard “very antisemitic” and suggested reallocating its federal funding to trade schools that would better serve American students and the economy.
Meanwhile, Harvard’s lawyers defiantly claimed, “the university will not surrender its independence.”
