In a new twist to one of the failed plots to assassinate President Trump, gun traffickers Tina Cooper and Ronnie Oxendine have pulled back the curtain on a collaboration aiming to harm a leader embodying America’s conservative values.

These arrests underscore a larger narrative seen by many as an outright assault on constitutional rights and individual freedoms, and they have left many Americans questioning just how safe conservative figures truly are in today’s political climate.
The Department of Justice charged Tina Cooper and Ronnie Oxendine with selling a firearm to Ryan Routh, the alleged would-be assassin aiming to attack Donald Trump.
“Two defendants who supplied a firearm to the man charged with trying to kill President Donald Trump in Florida in 2024 have pleaded guilty to gun-related charges, newly-surfaced court documents show,” The Daily Caller reports.
Cooper acted as an intermediary in August 2024, facilitating a Chinese-manufactured SKS rifle’s transfer to Routh from Oxendine.
Despite knowing Routh’s dubious intent, Oxendine proceeded with the sale.
Such reckless actions threaten not just prominent figures but the very ideals upon which this nation stands.
Routh’s close proximity to Trump in Palm Beach during a golf outing weeks before the 2024 election heightened the danger.
Routh, who had multiple felony convictions and was banned from gun ownership, nonetheless wielded a rifle with a removed serial number, charging him with attempted assassination and unlawful gun possession.
It’s unacceptable that criminal elements continue to acquire dangerous weapons, putting all law-abiding citizens at risk.
Cooper, possessing past professional ties with Routh, claimed he needed a gun “for his son to use as protection,” another tale in a series of “inconsistent stories” unearthed in the case.
Federal prosecutors have highlighted these fabrications, revealing a troubling willingness to mislead authorities to cover up an attack on conservative values.
After Routh’s arrest, Cooper advised Oxendine to delete their communications, a deceitful act that demonstrated her desperation to erase any signs of criminal activity.
Oxendine subsequently admitted to possessing an unregistered firearm, a serious crime that perpetuates a dangerous status quo.
Both Cooper and Oxendine stand to face substantial prison time: up to 15 years for Cooper and 10 years for Oxendine.
Their arrests should serve as a stark warning against any who think they can threaten those who fight to uphold constitutional values without consequence.
Federal prosecutors are now turning their focus to Routh, aiming to use Cooper and Oxendine’s involvement as pivotal evidence.
Routh’s trial, set for September, is expected to delve even deeper into a scandal reflecting poorly on the justice system’s ability to protect American icons.
2 co-conspirators, Tina Brown Cooper & Ronnie Jay Oxendine, of North Carolina have PLED GUILTY for helping Ryan Routh obtain his SKS-style rifle as part of his plot to assassinate Donald Trump last September.
