Biden: ‘Good Day for America’ (Video)

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – President Joe Biden has declared that it is a “good day for America” as he has enacted a $95 billion foreign-aid package, designed to bolster embattled US allies Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, following its swift passage through the Senate.

“It’s a good day for America, it’s a good day for Europe, and it’s a good day for world peace, for real, it’s consequential,” the president declared, cited by National Review.

“It gives vital support to America’s partners so they can defend themselves against threats to their sovereignty, and the lives and freedom of their citizens,” he added.

Biden also criticized the protracted delays in Congress, particularly attributing the obstruction to Republican detractors of the aid designed to help Ukraine fend off Putin’s Russia.

“For months, while MAGA Republicans were blocking aid, Ukraine has been running out of artillery shells and ammunition. Meanwhile, Putin’s friends keep giving him, keeping him well supplied,” he said.

Biden announced imminent military support for Ukraine, including air-defense systems, artillery munitions, and armored vehicles, emphasizing the positive impact on U.S. weapons manufacturers charged with replenishing depleted stocks.

Following the president’s approval, the Pentagon declared an immediate $1 billion military assistance package for Ukraine, comprising Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, HIMARS rocket system ammunition, 155mm and 60mm mortar rounds, and Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles.

The legislation directs approximately $60 billion to Ukraine, with substantial portions allocated for replenishing U.S. arsenals and supporting military operations in the region.

Israel will receive $26 billion, which includes significant funding for missile defense systems like Iron Dome and David’s Sling, with over $9 billion dedicated to humanitarian efforts.

The package also includes a mandate for TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, to divest from the app due to national security concerns related to its connections with the Chinese Communist Party and its influence among American youth.

“This unconstitutional law is a TikTok ban, and we will challenge it in court. We believe the facts and the law are clearly on our side, and we will ultimately prevail,” TikTok reacted.

In the context of recent regional tensions, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R., La.) championed the bipartisan effort, which was crucial after Iran targeted Israel with drones and missiles.

Despite internal opposition, including threats from Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R., Ga.) to oust Johnson, the legislative effort was bolstered by former President Donald Trump’s support.

The initiative also saw backing from traditional Reaganite Republicans and national-security advocates within the Democratic party, although it faced opposition from the far-left over support for Israel and the TikTok divestment clause.
