BREAKING: Border Crossings Shut

Breaking news

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a brand-new perversion in President Joe Biden’s open border policy, the Department of Homeland Security is handling a renewed surge in the illegal immigrant invasion by closing traffic lanes at border crossings to redeploy staff to areas seeing a greater influx.

On Monday, the Department of Homeland Security announced plans to either reduce or completely halt traffic in certain lanes at border crossings in Arizona and Texas.

This move is a response to the escalating number of migrants entering the United States illegally, necessitating a reallocation of staff to manage this influx, The Washington Times points out in a report.

Some 8 million illegal immigrants have entered the nation since Biden took over the White House – including about 2 million known gotaways.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP), responsible for managing ports of entry, attributes the latest surge in the invasion to “smugglers peddling disinformation” that has been misleading migrants.

The border crossings impacted by these changes include Lukeville in Arizona, where vehicle processing will be significantly reduced, and International Bridge 1 in Eagle Pass, Texas, where all processing will be suspended.

The agency elaborated on this decision through an unsigned statement, explaining the urgent need to redirect officers from these specific posts to assist Border Patrol agents.

These agents, who are responsible for the vast areas between the official crossings, have been struggling under the overwhelming wave of migrants over recent years.

“The U.S. is continuing to see increased levels of migrant encounters at the Southwest Border, fueled by smugglers peddling disinformation to prey on vulnerable individuals and encourage migration,” CBP stated.

The agency, however, did not provide specific figures regarding the current level of illegal border crossings.

The Times observes that each time the administration implements changes to address the issue, a new crisis emerges at the border.

For instance, following a particularly challenging September, CBP reported improvements in October, noting a 13% reduction in Border Patrol arrests along the southern border, with notable declines in certain demographics towards the end of the month.

However, the recent announcement suggests a potential return to severe difficulties.

This development coincides with President Biden’s request to Congress for $14 billion in emergency funding to address the border situation.

However, a significant portion of this funding is seemingly directed towards expediting the processing of migrants, rather than deterring their arrival.
