Georgia DA’s Lover Gets Bad News

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a remarkable twist of fate, the ruthless persecution of Donald Trump is coming back to bite Georgia DA Fani Willis – and her prosecutor lover – as both of them have been slapped with subpoenas for a court hearing to answer questions on their affair in just two weeks.

Willis and Nathan Wade, her so-called “romantic partner,” whom she hired as the lead prosecutor with lavish pay in the 2020 Georgia election fraud case against Trump and over a dozen other defendants, have been ordered to show up in court on February 15.

Their subpoenas come as part of a legal motion to dismiss charges against Michael Roman, a co-defendant of Trump, based on allegations of a secretive relationship between the DA and the prosecutor.

The claims are set to be examined in detail during the court session with their testimony, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, as cited by The New York Post.

Michael Roman’s legal representative, Ashleigh Merchant, launched legal action against the District Attorney’s office, accusing it of obstructing the release of information requested under the Open Records Act.

This information is deemed essential for the preparation of the upcoming hearing.

Merchants expressed frustration over resorting to a lawsuit to access public records.

“It is disappointing to have to file lawsuits to obtain access to records that the public is entitled to,” Merchant stated.

“We believe that transparency is vital to an open and responsible government and we hope that this can be resolved quickly so that we can get the public documents we are entitled to receive,” she added.

The DA’s office responded by claiming it had already complied with her information request, which made her lawsuit “disingenuous.”

In a related development, the conservative watchdog organization Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit demanding all documents related to Nathan Wade’s employment.

The organization’s president speculated that the DA’s office might be concealing misconduct connected to Wade’s hiring.

“Fani Willis’ politicized and unprecedented prosecution of former President Trump has been further compromised by credible allegations of personal corruption tied to the hiring of Nathan Wade as special prosecutor!” said Tom Fitton, the group’s director.

The scandal over Willis and Wade’s love affair has also affected the latter’s divorce proceedings, with his estranged wife accusing him of neglecting payments to her while going on luxury vacations with the DA.
