Israel Killed THIS Infamous Enemy!? (Video)

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a significant victory for vital US ally Israel, which, however, could escalate tremendously the tensions in the Middle East, the Israeli military has managed to kill a top-level Iranian commander, sparking fury and severe retaliation threats from the regime of the Islamist Republic of Iran.

An Israeli airstrike in Syria has resulted in the death of the prominent Iranian commander, intensifying the already strained relations between Iran and Israel.

According to Tehran’s state media, Seyed Razi Mousavi, an adviser in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and a key figure in coordinating Tehran’s relations with Syria, was killed by an Israeli missile in Sayyida Zeinab, a suburb of Damascus.

The Iranian response was swift and foreboding, with Iran’s state media quoting its President Ebrahim Raisi as issuing threats.

“This act is a sign of the Zionist regime’s frustration and weakness in the region for which it will certainly pay the price,” he said.

Tehran acknowledged Mousavi’s significant role and experience in Syria.

Social media circulated videos that allegedly captured the moment of the airstrike.

Additionally, state media described Mousavi as an ally of Qassem Soleimani, the late head of the IRGC’s Quds Force, who was killed in a US airstrike in Iraq in early 2020.

The killing of Mousavi signifies a notable escalation in the already tense relations between Iran and Israel, particularly in the context of Israel’s ongoing conflict with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in Gaza, an Iran proxy, after its October 7 attacks on the Israelis, The New York Post stresses in a report.

Iran has been consistently accused of supporting various US-designated terrorist organizations in the region, including Hamas, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthis in Yemen.

The war in Israel, which began in October, has raised concerns about the possibility of a broader regional conflict.

Sources, including Al Jazeera, have reported that Mousavi had been a target of previous Israeli assassination attempts.

Further complicating the situation, Iran accused Israel earlier this month of killing two IRGC personnel in Syria. Israel typically does not publicly acknowledge attacks against Iranian targets in Syria and has not officially commented on its involvement in Mousavi’s death.

In anticipation of potential retaliation from Iran, the Israeli Defense Force is reportedly making preparations, as per Axios, exposing the potential for further escalation.
