Senators Want THESE Pilots Reinstated

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a bold move, two Republican senators have introduced a bill to resurrect federal contractors’ careers, particularly pilots, who found themselves abruptly grounded due to their resistance against the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The legislative campaign is led by U.S. Sens. Mike Braun of Indiana and Roger Marshall of Kansas, who are asking the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to correct what they say is an injustice against pilots who didn’t comply with the vaccination order.

The backdrop for this bill is rooted in two executive orders issued by Joe Biden in 2021, which mandated COVID-19 vaccination for all federal contractors, including airlines operating within the United States. The orders emphasized the need to protect the federal workforce’s health and safety and maintain the efficiency of the civil service. The directive indicated that vaccination was a crucial step to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among federal employees and the public.

In May, the Biden administration announced the cessation of COVID-19 vaccination requirements for federal employees, citing the success of these mandates in promoting nationwide vaccination.

Braun and Marshall’s legislation aims to rectify what they perceive as injustices committed by the Biden administration. They argue that the mandates led to the dismissal of hardworking Americans from their jobs and careers. Senator Braun criticized President Biden’s vaccine mandates as overstepping boundaries and infringing upon the liberties of essential workers crucial to the daily operations of the aviation industry.

“No one should have lost their job because they didn’t want to take the COVID vaccine,” asserted Senator Braun. He described cosponsoring this bill as a straightforward decision, emphasizing its potential to reinstate fired pilots to their former positions and contribute to restoring the aviation industry to full capacity.

It is noteworthy that Senator Braun has also expressed his intention to run as a Republican candidate for the position of Governor in Indiana, further underlining the political dynamics surrounding this legislative move.
