They Stole How Much?!

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In what might be one of the biggest heists ever, thieves managed to steal some $30 million in cash from a vault in the Los Angeles area – and, as the robbery occurred on Easter Sunday, it was noticed only the following morning.

A report by The New York Post described the LA-area heist as being “of biblical proportions” – stressing that “no one even noticed the empty vault until the next morning.”

The theft occurred on Sunday night at the GardaWorld facility located in Sylmar.

This facility is tasked with managing cash for a multitude of businesses within the vicinity, as sources disclosed to Eyewitness News.

The perpetrators executed their plan with such finesse that the vault exhibited no external signs of forced entry.

This left the operators of the business completely oblivious to the breach until they accessed the vault on Monday, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

Surveillance footage captured on Wednesday revealed a seemingly expansive breach on the side of the building, accompanied by a mound of debris.

However, it remained uncertain whether this destruction was a result of the burglary, as noted by the publication.

The facility, which operates under a veil of anonymity, held a substantial amount of cash, a detail that would have been known to very few individuals.

The complexity and success of the heist suggest that it was orchestrated by a group of highly skilled burglars, as sources conveyed to the newspaper.

This heist is recorded as one of the most significant in the annals of Los Angeles crime history, surpassing all previous thefts involving armored vehicles in the region, as confirmed by Los Angeles Police Department Commander Elaine Morales.

As of Thursday, the heist is under a rigorous investigation spearheaded by both the Los Angeles Police Department and the FBI.

Requests for comments from both the LAPD and the GardaWorld facility by The Post have not received immediate responses.

This Easter Sunday heist occurred nearly two years subsequent to an audacious robbery where up to $100 million in jewels and other valuable items were stolen from an armored big rig parked at a Grapevine truck stop.

In that incident, thieves managed to load 20 sizable bags with jewels during a 27-minute period while the driver was on a break for a nap and meal.

The investigation into that robbery remains unresolved.
