(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Donald Trump used the just-announced federal gun charges against Hunter Biden to go on the offensive, stressing those are the only charges against Hunter that don’t incriminate his father, Joe Biden.

On Thursday, the US Justice Department’s Special Counsel David Weiss filed three gun charges against Hunter Biden over lying on a federal firearms form and possessing a gun while suffering from drug addiction.

Hunter’s indictment came after the July collapse of his controversial probation-only plea deal, which would have seen him evade a single gun charge.

“This, the gun charge, is the only crime that Hunter Biden committed that does not implicate Crooked Joe Biden. One down, Eleven to go!” the 45th president of the United States wrote on Truth Social.

He was referring to House Republicans’ 11 other wrongdoing allegations about the first son, which include money laundering and tax crimes, Newsmax reports.

“The Democrats, with all of their horrible, very unfair, and mostly illegal Witch Hunts, have started a process that is very dangerous for our Country. They have opened the proverbial Pandora’s Box, and it is possible that the USA will never be the same again. SO SAD!!!” Trump elaborated.

In another of his posts, he dwelled on the appointment of Special Counsel David Weiss, who until recently was solely the Delaware US attorney.

“Prosecutor Weiss is appointed by the 2 Democrat Senators of Delaware under Blue Slip!” the former president wrote about the official who delivered the Hunter Biden indictment.

The report points out that leftist politicians and media have argued the Hunter Biden investigation had been objective since it was Trump who made him the US attorney for Delaware.

Yet, the two US senators for Delaware, Democrats Tom Carper and Chris Coons, had to approve his appointment based on the Senate policy called “blue slip,” under which home-state senators have a say on presidential appointments of US attorneys and judges.

Weiss has led federal tax evasion and gun violation investigations against Hunter Biden since 2018.

After Hunter’s plea deal, widely considered too lenient, fell apart, US Attorney General Merrick Garland elevated Weiss to special counsel in August.
