(TheRedAlertNews.com) – HAPPENING NOW: The United States Armed Forces have suffered a terrible tragedy. A Marine Corps aircraft crash on a remote Australian island during a training exercise Sunday killed three Marines and injured 20 others.
Reportedly, five of the injured are in serious condition following the crash of a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft.
According to a local television station monitoring radio communications, there was a “significant fire in the vicinity of the crash site.”
According to a report from the Associated Press, “Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said only Americans were injured in the crash which happened during Exercise Predators Run, which involves the militaries of the United States, Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and East Timor.”
Additionally, “‘The initial reports suggest that the incident involves just U.S. defense force personnel,’ Albanese said. ‘Our focus as a government and as the department of defense is very much on incident response and on making sure that every support and assistance is given at this difficult time.'”
