(TheRedAlertNews.com) – After eagerly persecuting Donald Trump, the Biden administration is now going after Elon Musk as it seeks to defend illegal alien rights from Musk’s refusal to hire non-Americans at SpaceX, a company developing “advanced weapons technology.”
This week, the Biden Justice Department officially filed a lawsuit against SpaceX, Musk’s company for rockets and satellites, because it allegedly discriminated against “asylum seekers and refugees” when hiring employees, Reuters reports, as cited by Newsmax.
“The lawsuit alleges that, from at least September 2018 to May 2022, SpaceX routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or consider them, because of their citizenship status, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act,” the DOJ declared in a statement.
It added SpaceX’s job postings and statements falsely alleged that because of federal export control laws, it could appoint only American citizens and permanent residents, also known as “Green Card holders.”
Biden’s Justice Department also claimed that Musk himself had been making “discriminatory public statements” in that regard.
“U.S. law requires at least a green card to be hired at SpaceX, as rockets are advanced weapons technology,” the SpaceX CEO tweeted in June 2020.
“Our investigation found that SpaceX failed to fairly consider or hire asylees and refugees because of their citizenship status and imposed what amounted to a ban on their hire regardless of their qualification, in violation of federal law,” Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke said in the DOJ statement.
“Our investigation also found that SpaceX recruiters and high-level officials took actions that actively discouraged asylees and refugees from seeking work opportunities at the company,” she added.
Clarke vowed to “hold accountable” Musk and SpaceX for refusing to hire migrants.
She also argued that “asylees and refugees have overcome many obstacles in their lives,” which was why SpaceX’s alleged “unlawful employment discrimination based on their citizenship status should not be one of them.”
The Biden Justice Department also announced that it would demand civil penalties for SpaceX and “back pay for asylum seekers and refugees” who weren’t hired by Elon Musk’s space company because of “discrimination.”
