(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In new staggering evidence of how badly the Biden administration is mishandling the Southern Border and the invasion, the former US Border Patrol chief has disclosed he “never had one conversation” with the president even though millions of migrants have been pouring in.

In a revealing interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” the former Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz revealed he never had any direct communication with President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris.

This lack of interaction came during a time when Ortiz was at the forefront of managing the escalating crisis of illegal immigration along the Southern Border, National Review stresses in a report.

“I’ve never had one conversation with the president or the vice president, for that matter. That’s a problem,” he said.

His leadership roles spanned being the chief of Border Patrol under President Biden and serving as the deputy chief under President Donald Trump before retiring in 2023.

He emphasized the importance of a unified message to countries in Central and South America, as well as Mexico, regarding the consequences of illegal immigration.

“We need to make sure that Central America, South America, Mexico, that those regions understand that if you pay a smuggler, and you cross in between the ports of entry, and you do not have a legitimate claim to some sort of asylum benefit, you’re going to be sent back,” Ortiz declared.

At the same time, he criticized the GOP Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, for politicizing border security by refusing to collaborate with the Border Patrol.

Nonetheless, he also pointed out that the mixed signals from the White House have contributed to the surge in illegal crossings at the border.

In response to what is seen as inadequate federal action, Governor Abbott has deployed a significant number of state law enforcement officers to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, near the Rio Grande, to enhance border security.

This move is part of Texas’s efforts to prevent the establishment of a Border Patrol processing center in the area, which state officials argue would incentivize more illegal crossings.

“The issue is trying to prevent another influx, because when Border Patrol is here setting up a processing center, it’s going to attract, it’s going to encourage more migrants to cross the river because they know where to go,” Lt. Christopher Olivarez of the Texas Department of Public Safety told “60 Minutes.”
