(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing war on Islamist terror group Hamas and a recent mass-scale terrorist attack in Moscow, FBI Director Christopher Wray has issued a warning that a “coordinated attack” inside the United States is becoming increasingly likely.

Wray expressed serious concerns to lawmakers on Thursday regarding the escalating apprehension within law enforcement circles about a potential “coordinated attack” on American soil.
This comes in the wake of a devastating assault by the ISIS-K group on a concert venue in Moscow, Russia, which resulted in 145 fatalities and injured over 500 more.
“Our most immediate concern has been that individuals or small groups will draw twisted inspiration from the events in the Middle East to carry out attacks here at home,” Wray conveyed to a House Appropriations subcommittee.
“But now, increasingly concerning is the potential for a coordinated attack here in the homeland, akin to the ISIS-K attack we saw at the Russia concert hall a couple weeks ago,” he added.
The incident in question occurred on March 22, when ISIS-K operatives, associated with a faction predominantly active in Afghanistan and Pakistan, executed a deadly incursion on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall just before a highly anticipated concert, claiming at least 145 lives and injuring 551 others.
It has been disclosed by American officials that despite Washington’s prior warnings to the Kremlin regarding the imminent threat, Russian authorities did not take adequate measures to prevent the tragedy.
Amidst his presentation regarding the FBI’s financial plan for the fiscal year 2025, Wray reiterated the heightened threat level.
“As I look back over my career in law enforcement, I’d be hard-pressed to think of a time where so many threats to our public safety and national security were so elevated all at once,” he reflected in his prepared remarks.
“But that is the case as I sit here today. This is not a point when we can let up,” he added.
Wray has previously issued similar alerts, particularly following the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attack in Israel, which resulted in approximately 1,400 deaths, including 33 Americans.
“This is by no means a time to let up or dial back. This is a time when we need your support the most — we need all the tools, all the people, and all the resources required to tackle these threats and to keep Americans safe,” the FBI chief said.
His testimony was delivered amidst growing skepticism among some House Republicans regarding the FBI, with discussions emerging about the possibility of defunding the bureau due to perceived biases against conservatives.
