Fetterman’s Border Stance Shocks Libs

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Right out of the blue, a politician once considered a rising star of far-left progressivism – freshman US Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) – has shocked radical leftists by declaring he is no longer a progressive due to issues, such as the illegal alien border invasion and the safety of Israel.

Once a staunch supporter of progressive values, Fetterman has recently shifted his political stance.

“It’s not so much that I left the title, the title left me,” the controversial Democrat senator told The New York Post.

The lengthy report saw him reflect on his journey from being a dedicated progressive to adopting a more moderate Democrat position.

This change became apparent during his term in office, where he began distancing himself from certain progressive stances, such as the ‘defund the police’ movement and issues surrounding the migrant crisis, The Post observes.

He acknowledges a crisis at the border, calling for a secure border and a bipartisan solution to illegal immigration, diverging from some progressive viewpoints.

“There is a crisis. We have a crisis at our border, and it can’t be controversial that we should have a secure border,” the Pennsylvania Democrat stated.

He dwelled on how December 2023 saw more than 300,000 illegal immigrants invade the nation.

“That’s larger than the population of Pittsburgh… That’s [Pennsylvania’s] second largest city — and that’s one month,” he said.

Fetterman claimed President Joe Biden was considering a bipartisan deal to secure the Southern Border.

“He recognizes that there is an issue there,” the senator said, claiming Biden had no fear for a leftist “blowback.”

The senator’s connection to Israel has also influenced his political evolution. He strongly disagrees with progressive narratives about Israel, particularly those involving inflammatory language.

Fetterman is not Jewish, but he holds a special relationship with Israel and advocates for solid support for the nation, which he views as embodying progressive, liberal policies.

His office is adorned with photos of Israeli and American hostages taken by the Palestinian Islamist terrorist group Hamas during its October 7 terror attack against Israel.

“I get emotional thinking about it. What if that was my children? What if that was my wife? Where does that kind of evil come from? I don’t know where the next bottom is… those kinds of atrocities must never be allowed to survive and endure. It has to be destroyed,” Fetterman said.
