Georgia DA Gets Bad News

Red light

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – The scandalous Georgia DA prosecuting Donald Trump for alleged 2020 election fraud is already getting what many believe she deserves as the state Senate is launching a full-fledged, subpoena-powered corruption investigation into her over recent bombshell revelations.

A recent court filing by one of the over a dozen defendants in the Georgia election subversion case revealed that Fani Willis, Fulton County’s District Attorney, hired her lover, Nathan Wade, as a prosecutor.

Wade has been paid lavishly, receiving nearly $700,000 in taxpayer money already, with the two of them going on luxury trips together as a couple, which he paid for.

A proposed Senate committee in Georgia to investigate Willis is expected to gain the authority to issue subpoenas as early as this week, Breitbart News reports.

It observes that the formation of this committee is particularly noteworthy given the recent refusal of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) to initiate a criminal investigation into Willis.

Kemp cited the absence of a functioning oversight committee as the reason for not commencing the investigation.

This unique state Senate committee to probe the DA is expected to consist of nine members, including only three Democrats.

The purpose is to compel witness attendance and document production in the investigation of Willis, as stated in a resolution by Georgia State Senator Greg Dolezal (R-Forsyth).

“The Georgia legislature has a responsibility to hold public officials accountable. Recent reports have been deeply troubling and I appreciate Sen. Dolezal’s leadership on this issue,” Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones told Breitbart News.

Dolezal is expected to introduce the resolution shortly. The Committee on Assignments will select the members if the Senate passes it.

Willis faces accusations of misconduct and corruption related to her prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

The court filing by Mike Roman, a political operative and co-defendant of Trump in the Georgia election case, made four significant allegations against Willis in January concerning her conduct during Trump’s prosecution.

These allegations include an improper relationship between Willis’s lead prosecutor, Nathan Wade, and herself; misuse of county funds by Wade’s law firm for luxurious vacations for Willis; Wade’s appointment without necessary authorization and lacking prosecutorial experience; and meetings between Willis, Wade, and President Joe Biden’s White House counsel before indicting Trump, raising suspicions of coordination with the White House.
