(TheRedAlertNews.com) – According to a report, notorious Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seems to have been a critical factor “responsible for the latest indictment” of former President Donald Trump.
“You cannot tell the story of Trump’s historic indictment without Nancy Pelosi,” writes the far-left New York Magazine.
Its lengthy article, “How Nancy Pelosi’s Long Game Led to Trump’s Indictment,” is based on author Ankush Khardori’s half-hour interview with the former Democrat House Speaker.
Pelosi gave the interview last Friday, at the end of what the writer called a “remarkable week in Washington,” a day after the 45th president of the United States was arraigned after getting slapped with a second federal indictment by the Biden Justice Department.
In a report seemingly celebrating Trump’s indictment for supposedly trying to overturn the 2020 election, Khardori touts Pelosi’s “achievements” in her congressional inquiry on the January 6, 2021, events at the US Capitol, which arguably pushed the DOJ to investigate and eventually indict Trump over the matter.
“It was the work of the select committee she fashioned that finally appears to have spurred a reluctant Justice Department to action, setting in motion a more intense phase of criminal scrutiny focused on Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election,” the NY Magazine writer asserts.
“I knew on January 6 that he had committed a crime,” Khardori quotes Pelosi as saying regarding Trump, praising her “essential role in bringing about the most important criminal prosecution in the history of our country.”
In addition, the author also lauded Pelosi for her constant attacks against Trump ever since he was elected president in 2016, including by spearheading the impeachments against him.
“During the election, I thought, ‘He’s going to try to pull a stunt and we have to try to have as many states in the Democratic column as possible,’” the 82-year-old California Democrat said in the interview.
According to the far-left writer, “Trump promptly proceeded to validate that concern, undertaking an extraordinary effort to remain in power after Election Day.”
Pelosi dwelled on her efforts to push the January 6 probe but claimed she didn’t intervene directly in the DOJ’s work.
“I did want them [the DOJ] to pay attention, and I hope that we got their attention. That’s why the presentation — the narrative — had to be the way it was,” the infamous Democrat said.
