Trump Vows Fight

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – 2024 Republican nomination frontrunner Donald Trump has declared he will fight a Washington, DC judge’s decision setting the trial date in his second federal indictment right ahead of “Super Tuesday” in the nation’s presidential primaries.

On Monday, US Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee, scheduled March 4, 2024, as the start of the case in which the Biden Justice Department charged the former president for an alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 election results.

The trial start date is a day before the 2024 Republican primary “Super Tuesday,” in which a dozen states, from California to Maine, will vote for the GOP presidential nominee.

“Today a biased, Trump Hating Judge gave me only a two month extension, just what our corrupt government wanted, SUPER TUESDAY,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“I will APPEAL!” he vowed.

Trump’s lawyers had asked the judge for a court date in April of 2026. However, Chutkan argued that his legal team didn’t need that much time to prepare for the trial.

“Mr. Trump will have to make the trial date work, regardless of his schedule,” the judge declared, as cited by Reuters and Newsmax.

Later, the Trump campaign issued a statement suggesting the March 4, 2024, trial date was politically motivated.

“The date set today deprives President Trump of his Constitutional right to a fair trial,” the campaign statement declared.

“From setting a trial date for the day before ‘Super Tuesday’ to sending a fundraising email the moment of President Trump’s processing in Fulton County, the Biden regime is no longer hiding its nakedly political motivations. President Trump will not be deterred, he will fight these hoaxes at every turn, and will win for the American people,” the campaign added.

The 45th president of the United States faces four Democrat-led indictments, three of which already have set trial dates.

Besides the trial set right before Super Tuesday, the start of his trial in Manhattan over alleged hush money payments to a porn actress is scheduled for March 25, 2024.

Trump’s third trial — on federal charges over the alleged mishandling of classified documents — is set for May 20, 2024. There is still no trial date for his Georgia 2020 election indictment
