(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a shameful case for the Biden administration, a high-profile official working for the US Defense Department’s school system in a number of foreign countries has been arrested in a large-scale police operation cracking down on human trafficking.

Stephen Francis Hovanic, a prominent official in the Pentagon’s school system serving the Americas region, was apprehended on November 15 as part of a human trafficking sting in Coweta County, Georgia, The Daily Caller reports, citing exclusive information from the local police.

64-year-old Hovanic, a resident of Sharpsburg, Georgia, faced arrest on allegations of pandering, according to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

Eva Tedder, an administrator at the sheriff’s office, revealed that Hovanic informed the jail staff of his employment with the Department of Defense (DOD), situated in Peachtree City, Georgia.

This location is also where the Department of Defense Education Activity’s (DODEA) Americas division operates, as confirmed by the agency’s website.

A booking photograph of Hovanic, shared by the Coweta County sheriff’s office, depicts an individual bearing a striking resemblance to Stephen Hovanic, as portrayed in his biography on the DODEA Americas website.

Notably, both photographs feature a man with a distinctive scar across the chin, further affirming the likeness.

The biography on the agency’s website also confirms that Hovanic is a resident of Sharpsburg, Georgia.

Hovanic’s arrest was part of a larger law enforcement operation spanning two days, aimed at uncovering human trafficking activities.

No details have been made available about the precise nature of the suspected criminal actions allegedly committed by the arrested official of the US government.

According to a report by The Newnan Times-Herald reported, this operation resulted in the arrest of over two dozen individuals.

The police operation successfully rescued six women identified as victims of human trafficking.

The suspected human smugglers were arrested on various charges. Those include pandering, drug possession, prostitution, and pimping, as detailed in the press release.

As of the time of reporting, neither the Department of Defense Education Activity for the Americas, nor Hovanic had issued a response to The Caller’s inquiries for comments.
