(TheRedAlertNews.com) – While it has been spewing far-left propaganda for many years, US mainstream media has now been exposed as harboring ardent supporters of Islamist terrorism as Israel has just arrested an NBC News contributor for lauding the Palestinian terror group Hamas.

Mirvat al-Azzeh, a freelancer working for NBC News, was recently nabbed by the Israeli authorities under accusations of inciting terror and aligning with a terrorist organization.

Al-Azzeh was apprehended over four Facebook posts on Hamas’ covert attack on Israel on October 7, which saw the sadistic slaughter of over 1,400 people, The New York Post reports, citing The Jerusalem Post.

After the 45-year-old journalist, based in East Jerusalem, was busted, NBC News severed its relationship with her.

The specifics of al-Azzeh’s posts remain undisclosed, but during a hearing at the Jerusalem Magistrate Court, the police characterized them as “inciting and glorying the horrible acts committed against civilians.”

Comcast-owned NBC announced on Monday that al-Azzeh was no longer affiliated with their network.

“Before we recently retained Marwat Azza for services as a freelance producer, we were not aware of her personal social media activity that provided the basis for the Israeli investigation,” an NBC spokesperson told The Post.

“We understand the material under investigation is not related to any services she provided to NBC News,” the NBC official added.

Al-Azzeh’s most recent article, dated November 12, highlighted the plight of newborns at Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital, struggling amidst a resource shortage.

NBC News hired Azzeh as a freelance producer around October 21, an NBC insider revealed.

This source also said scrutiny of her work for NBC News did not reveal any issues.

Israeli authorities reported that al-Azzeh was prepared for her arrest, arriving without her cell phone but with phone numbers inscribed on her leg.

As per the Jerusalem Post, the pro-Hamas journalist cooperated extensively with the Israeli police, who had sought permission to interrogate her from the prosecutor’s office last month.

“The woman in question is an ordinary woman, who… admitted to all the deeds described to her, and cooperated fully with the investigation,” Al-Azzeh’s lawyer told The Jerusalem Post.

Last week, Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu last week condemned Western media giants, including Reuters, the Associated Press, CNN, and the New York Times, for using photojournalists linked to Hamas during the October 7 massacre.

CNN subsequently ended ties with a freelancer photographed receiving a kiss from the Hamas leader.
