(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Keeping up its brave fight with President Joe Biden’s anti-American policies favoring invading illegal immigrants, the GOP-led state of Texas has started to fly migrants to Democrat-run “sanctuary” cities, which openly violate the nation’s legislation.
Texas has initiated the transportation of migrants to sanctuary cities via air travel, a significant intensification of Governor Greg Abbott’s previous approach of using buses to alleviate the strain on the border state, Fox News stresses in a report.
The first flight took off from El Paso on Tuesday afternoon, carrying 120 migrants, and arrived at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport later that day.
According to sources within Abbott’s office, all migrants on board had signed voluntary waivers, consistent with the process used for bus transport.
This development is partly a reaction to Chicago’s legal challenges against the bus companies transporting migrants to the city.
Governor Abbott’s strategy, which began in April 2022 with buses to Washington, D.C., and later expanded to other cities with sanctuary policies, has now taken a more assertive turn with the inclusion of air travel.
Abbott’s office has disclosed that since the inception of this program, Texas has bussed over 82,900 migrants to various cities, including Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, and Los Angeles.
Abbott maintains that this initiative offers essential relief to border communities and has vowed to continue until the Biden administration secures the border.
This strategy has infuriated the left, whose activists label it as an “illegal” political maneuver.
Mayors of cities like Chicago and New York have been particularly vocal in condemning Abbott’s actions.
“The issue is not just how we respond in the city of Chicago. It’s the fact we have a governor, a governor, an elected official in the state of Texas, that is placing families on buses without shoes, cold, wet, tired, hungry, afraid, traumatized, and then they come to the city of Chicago, where we have homelessness, mental health clinics that have been shut down and closed,” said Brandon Johnson, Chicago’s far-left mayor.
“We have people who are seeking employment. The governor of Texas needs to take a look in the mirror, with the chaos he’s causing for the people of this country,” he argued.
In response, Abbott’s press secretary, Andrew Mahaleris, refuted these claims, stating that Johnson was “flat out lying.”
“Mayor Johnson should call on President Biden to take immediate action to secure the border,” he said.
