8,000 Illegals Inbound

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – America’s illegal immigrant invasion is set for a dreadful new surge as the biggest migrant caravan in over a year has formed up in Southern Mexico and is making its way toward the US border, according to reports.

Approximately 8,000 migrants are advancing towards the US-Mexican border, Newsmax informs.

Originating primarily from Cuba, Haiti, and Honduras, these individuals began their trek toward the United States last Sunday in Tapachula, near Mexico’s southern border.

They have since covered over nine miles to reach Alvaro Obregón, as reported by the New York Post on Tuesday.

Reports from local media indicate that the caravan’s composition is diverse, including members from distant nations such as Bangladesh and India, according to the BBC.

This influx represents the most significant migrant movement towards the US since June 2022, shortly before President Joe Biden’s meeting with leaders at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles.

This current wave of migration coincides with the impending meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, where they plan to address the ongoing migrant crisis.

Among the caravan, some individuals displayed banners declaring, “Exodus from poverty.”

Luis Garcia Villagran, an activist accompanying the group, has expressed concerns that the number of participants might swell to 15,000 by the time they reach the border.

“We won’t stop — we’ll keep walking,” Villagran stated, emphasizing the necessity of their departure from Tapachula to prevent the town’s collapse.

He also highlighted the issue of the porous southern border with Guatemala, through which 800 to 1,000 individuals are crossing daily.

US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officials have reported arresting up to 10,000 migrants daily at the southwest border this month, as noted by the Post.

CBP data reveals that encounters with migrants have exceeded 240,000 monthly over the past three months, with December’s figures already surpassing 200,000.

In response to the escalating situation, CBP temporarily ceased railway operations at Texas border crossings, aiming to mitigate the substantial migrant movement.

However, the federal government resumed these operations after five days due to trade disruptions and widespread discontent.

“My district is 70% Hispanic. This crisis is in our third year. I’m starting to hear from first and second-generation Americans saying I do not want these people in my country,” commented US Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX).
