(TheRedAlertNews.com) – A Republican US Representative has called for immediate impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, for shielding Hunter Biden from prosecution.
According to Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), Garland should be impeached for “manipulating the justice system and obstruction of justice.”

She told the Newsmax program “Wake Up America” that Garland’s impeachment should be based on evidence from the two IRS whistleblowers, Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler.
Earlier this year, the whistleblowers told Congress that the Biden Justice Department shielded the president’s son from severe charges resulting from the five-year federal probe into his finances and affairs.
In June, the DOJ announced a no-prison time plea deal for Hunter Biden, widely considered very lenient, which, however, fell apart at a court hearing in July after a Delaware US judge refused to “rubber-stamp” it.
Tenney’s declaration that AG Merrick Garland should be impeached came after two GOP-led House committees subpoenaed two FBI agents and two IRS investigators who worked on the Hunter Biden investigation earlier this week.
“[Garland is] a dirty cop, and he needs to go. It doesn’t get dirtier than this,” said Rep. Tenney, a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, one of the two with the latest subpoenas.
The four US officials are presumed to know about an October 7, 2022 meeting, during which Delaware US Attorney David Weiss reportedly revealed he was prevented from filing more serious charges against the first son.
In contrast, Garland has told Congress that Weiss had the full authority and freedom to raise any charges against Hunter Biden.
“It looks like what is happening to Donald Trump on the other side is malicious prosecution, coming out of the same Department of Justice, the same attorney general,” she added, commenting on the Democrat-led indictments of the former president.
“I think impeachment should be on the table for Joe Biden … we are circling around the evidence, and we’re dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s… Merrick Garland has to go, he is obstructing justice, potentially Weiss needs to be removed. Yes, Joe Biden ultimately for influence peddling, bribery and all the schemes in which he is using his son to enrich himself,” Tenney concluded.
