(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y) has ripped into his Democrat colleagues, Reps. Cori Bush of Missouri and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, both members of the progressive House group known as the “Squad,” for their tone-deaf statements regarding the recent terrorist attack in Israel and their pro-Hamas stance.

“Shame on anyone who glorifies as ‘resistance’ the largest single-day mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust,” Torres stated, as reported by the Jewish Insider.

The terrorist attack in Israel over the weekend has resulted in approximately 700 casualties in Israel and nearly 500 in Gaz, following Hamas’ assault.

On Monday, the U.S. confirmed that nine Americans lost their lives in Israel during the violent clashes in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Cori Bush released a statement asserting that “violations of human rights do not justify more violations of human rights” and calling for an end to “U.S. government support for Israel military occupation and apartheid.”

Rashida Tlaib also expressed her determination to fight for a future marked by peace, freedom, equal rights, and human dignity. She emphasized the need to lift the blockade, end the occupation, and dismantle the apartheid system. Tlaib, of Palestinian descent, argued that failing to recognize the violence stemming from living under siege, occupation, and apartheid ultimately endangers everyone.

Rep. Ritchie Torres previously condemned Hamas’ attack and criticized the New York City Democratic Socialists rally, denouncing it as a manifestation of antisemitism. He also condemned Harvard University student organizations that signed a letter blaming the Israeli government for the violence resulting from the Hamas attacks.

In a post on X, Torres reiterated that Israel was the victim of a terrorist attack, with Hamas as the perpetrator. He emphasized that there are no “both sides” in this situation and criticized the student organizations for blaming the victims, Israelis, instead of holding Hamas accountable for the violence.
