Marco Rubio Comes Out Swinging

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Republican US Senator Marco Rubio exploded over the fourth Democrat-led indictment of former President Donald Trump, calling it a “Third-World spectacle.”

Rubio’s reaction came after a Georgia grand jury acting at the behest of Fulton County’s Democrat DA, Fani Willis, slapped Trump and 18 others with indictments for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election in the state.

The charges filed in Georgia have become the fourth Democrat-led federal or state indictment against former President Trump.

In a post on the X social media platform, the former Twitter, Rubio (R-FL), blasted the Biden administration and the Democrats for using the judicial system to persecute the 45th president of the United States.

The Florida senator dwelled on the fact that the indictment of Trump and the other defendants was posted on the Fulton County court website on Monday afternoon and then swiftly removed even before the grand jury supposedly decided on it.

The highly-suspicious development was documented by the Reuters news agency, which later reported the document disappeared from the court website without any explanation.

“The latest Trump indictment in Georgia was prematurely posted online, announced at a late-night press conference & cites an election night ‘victory speech’ as the first act of a conspiracy,” GOP US Senator Marco Rubio wrote on X.

“A 3rd world spectacle carried out by a local prosecutor with political ambitions that far exceed her professionalism,” he added in Tuesday’s tweet.

Trump and 18 other people were slapped with a combined total of 41 criminal charges involving racketeering – “a charge meant for members of organized crime groups,” The Florida Voice notes.

According to the official results, Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election in Georgia and the state’s 16 electoral voters by a margin of only 11,779 votes.

Willis’ indictment of Trump features 13 charges, including “racketeering, solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, conspiracy to commit forgery, conspiracy to commit false statements and writings,” among others.

Besides the former president, the indicted defendants include some of his former or current associates, such as Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and US Attorney Sidney Powell.
